Fall Ladies Bible Study
We will walk together through the four chapters of Ruth, confronted simultaneously by the depth of human suffering and the breadth of God’s faithfulness in that suffering. Ruth’s story gives us certainty about our own. All of history and all of your life—the miraculous and the mundane—points to full and final redemption in Jesus Christ.

1 Kings continues the history of Israel’s monarchy in light of God’s covenants. During the period of 1 Kings, the kingdom of Israel was divided between Israel in the north and Judah to the south. There were evil rulers such as Ahab and Jezebel and godly rulers such as Solomon and Jehoshaphat. Many prophets were sent by God to Israel during this period, notably Elijah. In spite of Judah’s failure to serve the Lord wholeheartedly, and of Israel’s kings to serve Him at all, we will see God continue to carry out His covenant plan for His people.
Meets every Tuesday at 9:30am on the SOUTH Campus beginning on September 12 at 9:30am.
Books are $16 and available for purchase at the first class. No pre-registration required.
When hard times come and it seems God is deviating from the plan we assume our life should follow, we’re much more likely to want to tame God, not trust Him. It’s then that we begin to press into our ways and our own timing. No human can carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us try. In this 6-session study of 1 & 2 Kings, you can join Lysa TerKeurst in Israel as she honestly reveals the places of distrust in her own heart while exploring the deeply personal applicable Scriptures that will teach us how to truly trust God.
Meets every Wednesday at 6:30pm on the NORTH Campus beginning on September 13 at 6:30pm. Register HERE

Embrace Grace Support Group - South Campus
NEW MINISTRY THIS FALL!!
Embrace Grace exists to help inspire and equip the church to love and encourage single and pregnant young women and their families. Women experiencing unexpected pregnancies receive practical, spiritual, and emotional support through our global support groups. This group will meet for 12 weeks starting on Wednesday, August 16th at 6:30pm on the South Campus. To join this group please contact Lauren Osborne at ozzylauren@yahoo.com.
If you want to join us to love on these women we have some opportunities to be involved. At the end of the semester there is a baby shower for our expectant mothers. The baby shower will be held on Sunday, November 5. We could use help with the following:
- wrapping presents
- purchasing the gifts (ex: a class could adopt a mom and purchase the items from the wishlist)
- hostess the baby shower (food, drinks, decorations)
If you want to volunteer to help us love and encourage these women please email Lauren Osborne at ozzylauren@yahoo.com.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why a Newborn Moms Ministry?
- To provide godly support to women in a time of critical need and offer biblical encouragement in their brand new role as mothers.
- To create community among new moms, both inside and outside your church, where they connect with and support one another.
- To offer intergenerational mentoring (Titus 2:3-5) and community building amongst different age groups at your church.
- To take advantage of a life transition when couples are open to input. As they expect and deliver their first child, life changes radically, and they (especially the women) seek information and support.
Who is this ministry for?
- New moms, both through adoption or biological birth, who have a child 6 months or younger at the time of the first gathering
What does a meeting look like?
- We have weekly 1.5-2 hour gatherings with a series of 7 topics (Introduction, Identity, Wisdom, Marriage, Stewardship, Family Relationships, Growth)
- Meetings will be held in a private room with access to a changing table and diaper genie. We want our moms to be comfortable coming as they are and encourage them to bring the items that make them comfortable for a 1-2 hour gathering (example: boppy pillow for nursing).
Why only first babies, 0-6 months?
- As the baby becomes more mobile, active, and noisy, it becomes more difficult for the mother to focus on listening or discussion unless the baby is in childcare.
- After that time, many life adaptations have been incorporated, and there is somewhat less need or openness to rebuilding a new way of life. The new family by 6 months has restructured into a way of life.
