COED Study: The Take Away
Character Studies: How do I respond when I am overwhelmed?
Have you ever felt overwhelmed? You aren’t alone. In our busy world today, there is no shortage of things that capture our attention and overwhelm our lives. So what does the Bible have to say about this? Join us in the Take Away this Fall as we study characters in the Bible, both positive and negative examples, of how we can learn to respond when we feel overwhelmed.
Meets in the Room 105 at 6:30pm
Cost: Free
No registration required

We will walk together through the four chapters of Ruth, confronted simultaneously by the depth of human suffering and the breadth of God’s faithfulness in that suffering. Ruth’s story gives us certainty about our own. All of history and all of your life—the miraculous and the mundane—points to full and final redemption in Jesus Christ.

The Book of Colossians by Louie Giglio
Men, you’re invited to join us as we go through the book of Colossians, designed to help us all form a complete picture of Jesus. What we believe about Him influences everything from our corporate worship to our relationships to our attitude towards sin. Now alive in Christ, we can live a life worthy of God instead of falling back into the ways of the world.

Embrace Grace
EMBRACE GRACE
Embrace Grace exists to help inspire and equip the church to love and encourage single and pregnant young women and their families. Women experiencing unexpected pregnancies receive practical, spiritual, and emotional support through our global support groups. This group will meet for 12 weeks starting on Wednesday, August 16th at 6:30pm on the South Campus. To join this group please contact Lauren Osborne at ozzylauren@yahoo.com.
If you want to join us to love on these women we have some opportunities to be involved. At the end of the semester there is a baby shower for our expectant mothers. The baby shower will be held on Sunday, November 5. We could use help with the following:
- wrapping presents
- purchasing the gifts (ex: a class could adopt a mom and purchase the items from the wishlist)
- hostess the baby shower (food, drinks, decorations)
If you want to volunteer to help us love and encourage these women please email Lauren Osborne at ozzylauren@yahoo.com.

When hard times come and it seems God is deviating from the plan we assume our life should follow, we’re much more likely to want to tame God, not trust Him. It’s then that we begin to press into our ways and our own timing. No human can carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us try. In this 6-session study of 1 & 2 Kings, you can join Lysa TerKeurst in Israel as she honestly reveals the places of distrust in her own heart while exploring the deeply personal applicable Scriptures that will teach us how to truly trust God.
Meets every Wednesday at 6:30pm on the NORTH Campus beginning on September 13 at 6:30pm. Register HERE

WHY I BELIEVE
Straight Answers to Honest Questions about God, the Bible, and Christianity
Scripture calls Christians to “be prepared” to give answers to anyone who asks about the faith. Are you prepared? Or do you feel ill-equipped?
The facts of the resurrection, the reliability of the Bible, and the evidence for creation – all have solid proofs that you, your children, your grandchildren, and your friends can understand and share with anyone seeking hope.
Equipping you and giving you confidence is why pastor and Bible teacher Chip Ingram created this Group Bible Study to accompany his Why I Believe video teaching series.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
– Acts 2:42-47
