What is First Gen? First, it’s NOT a new program. It simply identifies those who are 55 plus years of age or of grandparent age.

Who are we? If you, your siblings, or close friends are of grandparent age (we define as 55 years or older) then you can identify as First Generation. But I have great-grandchildren, am I part of First Gen? Yes, First Generation includes you too! You are exceptionally blessed!

The First Generation has a profound impact on the second, third, and subsequent generations in their faith journey. By identity, many First Gen-ers can be some of the finest faith models in the church. Providing opportunities for First Gen members to live in community, build strong friendships together, provide a format to use and develop ministry giftedness, and to impact our church family, local community and world with a confident, non-anxious faith is our goal. To identify as a member of The Woodlands First “First Gen” is to identify with a committed group of strong believers dedicated to sharing Christ with our community and world. It’s not about age; it’s about purpose, identity, and the role we have in leading out in faith in Christ.
