Preschool (Birth to Pre-K)

INTRODUCTION

Preschoolers live in a world of discovery. Each day is an opportunity to grow and learn. As they grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, our prayer is that they also are growing spiritually.

At The Woodlands First Baptist Church we are helping preschoolers to worship God, grow in faith, serve others, and live for Jesus. Each week, preschoolers will encounter the love of Jesus in a loving, safe, and secure environment. Our excellent staff of volunteers makes sure that each child is cared for, loved, and most importantly, has the opportunity to hear about Christ’s love. 

Your child’s safety is our top priority. That’s why we utilize safe check in and check out procedures with matching child name tags and parent pick up receipts, and every staff member and volunteer is background checked annually. Additionally, our paid staff is CPR/First Aid Certified, and we provide camera recordings throughout the building. On Sunday mornings, we also have a police officer assigned to our building. Our preschoolers enjoy saying “hi” to them each week! If you have any questions about our safety protocol, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Preschool Ministry team.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

On Sunday mornings, preschoolers will have the opportunity to experience two great hours of programming, so that parents may attend both worship and an adult small group. In preschool worship, kids will sing, dance, celebrate and worship as they learn about God’s great love. In small groups, preschoolers will be taught by our dedicated volunteers who focus on relationships, learning, and fun! We currently utilize the Hyfi curriculum from Lifeway which is an engaging program that walks kids through the truths of Scripture. You’ll be surprised how much your preschooler will learn about God and His Word!

First time guests (SOUTH CAMPUS):  Feel free to take advantage of the guest parking right in front of building D on the west side of our campus, and make your way inside to our Welcome Desk. Our friendly staff will help you check in, answer any questions you may have, and direct you to our Worship Center. Preschool Programming is available during both worship times on Sunday morning: 9:30 am (Traditional) and 10:50 am (Contemporary).

First time guests (NORTH CAMPUS):  Take advantage of the guest parking right in front of the building. You’ll enter our “Hub” greeting area, and a volunteer will be happy to help you find the preschool ministry department (located on the first floor). Our friendly staff will help you check in, answer any questions you may have, and direct you to our Worship Center. Preschool Programming is available during both worship times on Sunday morning: 9:30 am (Small Group) and 10:50 am (Worship).

OPPORTUNITIES

There are also plenty of programs and special events to engage preschoolers and their families. From Wednesday night preschool choir to Sunday Funday, VBS, and MomCo, The Woodlands First wants to be a place where preschoolers and families learn, worship, and develop lasting friendships. Giants:

Giants are a chance for your child to have a monthly, thematic event while parents get an afternoon away! Each month (September-May) will feature quality care from our staff, themed events, parties, crafts, or special visitors like the mobile zoo. Registration is limited so families are encouraged to register early to secure their child’s spot. 

MomCo 2026-27
