During the 9:30 am service, our preschool through 6th graders will participate in Bible Study with our wonderful nursery staff (for infants – Preschool) and volunteers! After that, during our 10:50 am service, our preschool – 2nd graders will enjoy Kids Worship in Building D, while 3rd – 6th graders will worship with their families in the Contemporary Service. This is a great opportunity to model worshipping Jesus for your older kids!

When bringing your infant, please bring premixed bottles or food pouches if they are under the age of 1, as well as diapers. If you’re a nursing mother, please notify the teacher when they should expect you for the next feeding time. We will also notify mom if the baby seems hungry earlier than that expected time.

In the infant room we follow several health and safety procedures! Babies are always placed on their back with nothing else (except a pacifier). If the baby is in a car seat, they are immediately taken out of the car seat upon arrival. For feeding, we ensure bottles are warmed in a bottle warmer, and never a microwave. Once they are 1 years old, we will provide an appropriate cereal snack (normally Cheerios). Additionally, we ensure items are sanitary for your children. For instance, toys that babies’ mouths are not shared and are taken up immediately after use to be washed. The highchair trays are also washed with dish soap between each use and at the end of the day.

We have many security measures in place to ensure your child’s safety while they are in our childcare. First, all our nursery staff are background checked, trained in CPR and first aid, and trained on a continuous basis. Secondly, our check-in system comes with two tags. One is your child’s name tag, and one is a pickup tag. Both tags have the same unique, randomly generated code that changes for each event. When dropping off your child, they will use that tag to help check the child in, confirm your telephone number, and confirm if your child has any allergies. When you come to pick up your child, you will have to show them the tag with the identical code as the one of your child’s name tag in order to take your child out of the room.

We have a 15-minute crying policy unless parents request something different. That means that if a child is crying for 15 straight minutes, and we are unable to console them, we call the parents to let them know they need to pick up their child. However, we have lots of tools we like to try first before calling mom and dad, such as taking them on a buggy ride, letting them see the fish, using a bubble machine in the classroom, and giving them extra attention in the classroom.

Note: If you would like this time to be shorter than 15 minutes, please tell the teacher.

We do not serve outside food due to allergy concerns unless an event requests parents to bring food. We provide Cheerios and Rice Check (gluten-free option) for preschoolers over the age of 1 at all events. We ask that infants come with premixed bottles and food pouches. We are a nut free facility. Please notify the teacher if you are a nursing mother, and when the teachers should expect you for the next feeding time. We will also notify mom if the baby seems hungry earlier than that expected time.

1. South campus:
1. We have two Nursing Mother’s Rooms on campus. The first is located in The Parlor at the back of the sanctuary. The second is located inside the baby room, room 104, in building D. Please feel free to use either during your time with us on Sunday morning. You won’t miss anything because the service is streamed in both places.
2. North campus:
1. We have one Nursing Mother’s Room in the hallway between the sanctuary and the Children’s check in desk.

If your child has any of the following symptoms, they are best to be left at home: fever, excessive runny nose (not allergies), pink eye, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, or open wounds. If a staff member suspects your child is ill, they wil bring the child to the front desk to be looked at by a preschool administrator. From there, parents will be notified if needed.

Our nursery staff and administrators do not dispense medicine (including diaper rash cream), with the exception of life saving medicines such as epipens or inhalers. If your child has an epipen or inhaler, please let the front desk and their teacher know. For minor bumps, bruises, or scrapes, teachers contact a supervisor and fill out a “boo-boo” report if necessary. Bandaids are also readily available when needed. In the event of an emergency, our staff is trained in CPR and First Aid.

1. We utilize Hyfi for our Kindergarten – 6th grade kids. Hyfi is a curriculum through Lifeway that teaches the truths of Scripture in a way that helps preschoolers, kids, and students understand their true identity in Christ. With Hyfi we teach our kids about who they are in Jesus through 12 simple truths. Every session provides biblically sound content with a clear picture of Jesus and the gospel.
2. Our Preschoolers (3 – 5  year olds) utilize Go Curriculum. Go Curriculum takes preschool children on a chronological journey through the entire Bible. Kids will see and experience that God’s story of grace and redemption through His Son, Jesus, is told both to people and through people. Kids will discover that God has invited them to be His people and to share His story with the world. God’s plan for salvation is introduced in bite-sized, age-appropriate ways throughout the journey. 
3. Our infants/toddlers utilize First Steps through D6 Family Ministry. They’ll learn about 12 simple, Biblical truths (1 truth per month) through songs, Bible time, and Prayer time. This aims to lay a foundation for future spiritual development and growth!

We love encouraging our parents to continue the discussion of Jesus in their home. To do this, we send the kids home with an activity page each week so you can discuss what they learned together. We also have a Parent Resource Wall both upstairs and downstairs of Building D on the South campus. At North, this is next to the check-in desk.
