Advent Bible Study
“Our Hope Has Come” A 5 week Advent Study by Lifeway.
In this 5-session Advent study, take a closer look at the Christmas story and the hope revealed in the lives of people in the Bible whose obedience and yeses to God’s plans, even in difficult times, gave them great joy and led to God’s glory in their lives and generations to come. As we explore the hope that Jesus brings, we’ll learn to trust God’s care for us as His beloved children in both times of abundance and times of lament.
Each week will feature 5 days of individual homework, and each Tuesday session will have time for group discussion and teaching, followed by a weekly advent craft. Come get your heart and home ready for the holiday season with us!
Schedule: Nov 9-Dec 7, 9:30-11:30, South Campus
- Nov 9-Introduction to book, Advent candle craft (do week 1 homework during this week)
- Nov 16-Review week 1 homework, make outdoor wreath craft (do week 2 homework during this week)
- Nov 23-Do week 3 homework on your own (no meeting Thanksgiving week)
- Nov 30-Review Weeks 2 and 3 homework, Make care packages for college students (do week 4 homework during this week)
- Dec 7-Review Week 4 homework, make an encouraging gift for a neighbor. Complete week 5 homework on your own. (Class will not meet after Dec 7)
